Litterell Officially Sworn In as Postmaster
Kevin Litterell was officially sworn in as the Postmaster for the Sonora Post office during a formal ceremony Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in Sonora.
Area Postmaster Wendy Groves, of Abilene, presided over the ceremony and presented Litterell with a certificate to mark the event.
Litterell took over the Sonora Post this past April and manages all operations including city and rural routes, two carriers and two clerks.
Now that he has settled into his position as Postmaster, Litterell said he has “fine tuned” a few things to help his office serve the community more efficiency.
For example, recently he added a new clerk, Larissa Brown, who transferred from Menard. Brown began working at the Sonora Post office August 5th.
“This is a great office,” Litterell said. “The community has also been welcoming and supportive and I am enjoying being a part of Sonora.”
